USWP Mounted Patrol Team
The USWP Volunteer Mounted Patrol was chartered in 2010 to aid the U.S. Water Patrol with Homeland Security Support and Public Safety operations on land. We also respond to and assist during Natural and man made Disasters across the U.S.
Our members are on Duty 24/7-365 days a year. Also many of our members are cross trained to work with the USWP & ARC.
The USWP Mounted Patrol Members are all volunteers and are used for a variety of community functions including Homeland Security Support Patrols
Search of lost children and adults
Search & Rescue.
Assisting the water patrol in SAR & HLS patrols
and Public Safety patrols and
Security patrols for private citizens & business when requested.
We also assist in lost and/or missing horses, cattle. search and round-up.
We also provide Fence line and property line security patrols when requested.
We Assist other Organizations, as needed by providing equipment and manpower.
The USWPMP also does emergency horse/animal transport and holding by working with other organizations, Horse Rescue Networks, Shelters and Transportation due to breakdowns & accidents Etc.

USWP/American Red Cross Partnership Team
The USWP/ARC Partnership Team was Chartered in 2016 We provide boats, horses for Disaster Assessments and Transport Equipment, and personnel where motorized vehicles cant reach in remote areas as well as areas effected by Earthquake, Tornados and Floods. We Also assist in Disaster Response anywhere in the U.S. and/or it's territories as needed using our vehicles and trailers to transport needed equipment and supplies... Also using our 100% self contained Horse trailers and campers we can stay on location for days and weeks to assist the public.

Our Mounted Patrol Assist Parks, Campgrounds, and others in Maintenance, Marking and clearing of trails.
The Mounted Patrol Team provides Security as well as safety patrols for Special Events.

11/18/2023. It is a very sad day today as we lost one of our horses today while on a HLS Border patrol near Zapata TX. Our patrol officer LT. Gail has been a member of the USWPMP and American Red Cross Team for over 2 years And is from Texarkana AR. Her horse Dottie has been on many patrols and was a very experienced. Dottie was severely injured in a fall and had to be put down. Our thoughts and prayers are with Gail. Gail is transporting Dottie back to her farm in AR. and will be buried.

07/23/2024 09:28. Louisville, KY. Mounted patrol team 2 called out on 2 missing horses from owners field. 13:41 horses found and returned to owner safe.
