The United States Water Patrol (U.S.W.P.) is a maritime, multi-mission and Government Recognized Registered 501c3 All Volunteer Homeland Security Support & Public Safety Organization dedicated to assist in protecting the safety and security of America and is a uniformed 100% all volunteer organization that uses U.S. Navy ranks in its management methods.
The U.S. Water Patrol is composed of Americans from all walks of life as well as Active, Former, and / or Retired members of the United States Armed Forces and Law Enforcement / Security officers and citizens from all types of backgrounds. All dedicated to the assurance of a safe and secure America for all.
The United States Water Patrol is also dedicated in assisting the boaters and the public on and off the water by responding to distress calls and / or safety & education needs. The U.S. Water Patrol operates 24 hours a day 7 days a week 365 days a year.

VOLUNTEER NOTICE: Our USWP & American Red Cross Partnership Team is looking for Red Cross Volunteers and/or other people with equine experiience around the Virginia City NV, Dayton NV. area. We are looking to establish a field office at this location. Must have a horse and be a good rider Trained in first aid and security minded a plus also be willing to do Public safety and Security patrols and working with local officials We may be able to provide a horse and tack if needed. May use a ATV as well. The duties will be to patrol and help keep secure the perimeter of a small location also to assist in public safety and other duties as needed. This is a great opportunity for American Red Cross Volunteers looking for something different. We will provide a Camper used as the field office to operate from or you may use your own camper/RV... Looking to start in late February or early March. Any questions and or for more information please contact us at. Volunteer@uswaterpatrol.org / 502-592-9332.

Sunday 01/14/2024 Winter weather and cold water survival training on the Ohio River. Morning Team members will conduct boating operations in freezing weather. Evening members will jump in the water and stay for 8 minutes while swimming to shore.
Monday 01/15/2024: Cold weather Rescue training: members will train on different rescue scenarios in freezing weather. Will be training with Mounted Patrol Teams.
Tuesday 01/16/2024: Basic cold weather survival skills tests.
Wednesday 01/17/2024 (Mounted Patrol- Red Cross Teams only) Winter horse handling and survival skills training
